ComedySportz Los Angeles teaches improv comedy classes and workshops in short form and long form improvisation.
We provide a safe environment where

short form, long form and various styles.
Our improv is not about sports, and it's not just for guys. It's improv for everyone,

At ComedySportz University we provide a safe environment where our
students can use improv to be more confident in all areas of life.
Our classes are great for actors, but you don't need to be one. They're also a great way to meet people and improve your people skills. You'll pick up skills for auditions, interviews, or even first dates! Plus all of our students get to see our shows for free, so there's an opportunity to introduce improv to all kinds of people in your life.
Improvisation classes are taught in three levels, and
include a showcase at the Senior level. We also offer "Cram Sessions"
in both basic improv and specialty topics. Adult improv classes are
for those 17 and above. You can find out more

For actors--We are the premier shortform company in
Los Angeles, and the place to study if you are wanting to improve your
commercial auditon technique. We also do some amazing longform improv
shows and occasionally offer classes in longform as well.

Short Form CRAM Sessions
Don't have time to take a multi-session class? Take one of our Cram
Sessions for a quick-bite improv experience. In 3 1/2 hours, we "cram"
the basics of ComedySportz fundamentals! These one-session intensives can also serve as placement workshops for students with experience from another improv company.

Short Form Improv Classes
Underclassmen: Beginner Improv Classes
Learn the fun behind ComedySportz-style improv in a relaxed and
supportive environment. In this four-week class, basic skills are taught
including focus, concentration, teamwork, spacework, trust and
scenework. Underclassmen meet
once a week for 3 1/2 hours per session.
Tuition: $275 ($250 in advance) / Four-week course
Session C: Tuesdays, Aug 31-Sep 21 2010, 7 to 10:30 PM
Session D: Tuesdays, October 5-26 2010, 1 to 4:30 PM
2011 class dates will be announced in the fall.

Juniors: Intermediate Improv Classes
Learn how to create narrative-driven improv with rich characters in this six-week class. Juniors meets
once a week for 2 1/2 hours per session. Must pass Underclassmen course or have consent of CSz University Director.
Tuition: $275 ($250 in advance) / Six-week course
Session D: Sundays, Sep 5-Oct 10 2010, 1 to 3:30 PM
Session C: Mondays, Oct 4-Nov 8 2010, 7 to 9:30 PM

Seniors: Advanced Improv Classes
Learn advanced narrative and character approaches in this eight-week class. Seniors meet once a week for 2 1/2 hours per session. This class performs a graduation show for friends and family. Must pass Juniors course or have consent of CSz University Director.
Tuition: $275 ($250 in advance)

Session C: Sundays, Aug 29-Oct 17 2010, 4 to 6:30 PM

Long Form Improv Classes
Long form curious? This class is taught by Marion Oberle.
Marion brings many years of expertise with ComedySportz, IO and Second
City to this workshop in long form improv. Learn the Harold, the
Slacker and the Snowglobe forms, among others. Great for short form
improvisers who want to use their acting skills and expand their
horizons in an unintimidating environment.
Prerequisite: Underclassmen class.
Tuition: $275
